Senior Manager, Program Implementation

MASH is looking for a passionate and driven Senior Manager – Program Implementation to lead the design, execution, and growth of high-impact programs across our focus areas. This role combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, people management, and partnership development. The ideal candidate will bring strong program experience, a collaborative leadership style, and a deep commitment to social impact

Responsibilities

1. Program Leadership & Strategy

  • •  Lead the end-to-end implementation of assigned programs—across sectors such as climate, gender, mental health, education, and youth leadership.
  • •  Drive program planning, execution, and monitoring in alignment with MASH’s mission and impact goals.
  • •  Ensure timely delivery of activities, adherence to KPIs, and alignment with partner expectations.
  • •  Design new initiatives based on emerging needs and ecosystem trends.

 

2. Team & Operations Management

  • •  Manage and mentor a team of program associates, interns, and volunteers, fostering a culture of ownership, agility, and learning.
  • •  Create and streamline systems and processes for efficient internal coordination, project tracking, and documentation.
  • •  Promote cross-functional collaboration across communications, operations, and impact teams.

 

3. Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

  • •  Build and manage relationships with partner organisations, donors, government bodies, and community stakeholders.
  • •  Represent MASH in key meetings, consultations, and sectoral forums.
  • •  Ensure smooth communication and collaboration with external partners and networks.

 

4. Planning, Reporting & Documentation

  • •  Develop program work plans, trackers, and reporting dashboards.
  • •  Lead the documentation of program progress, reports, impact stories, and learnings.
  • •  Collaborate with the communications team to amplify program milestones through storytelling.

 

5. Budget & Resource Management
  • •  Plan and manage program budgets in coordination with finance.
  • •  Monitor expenses and resource utilisation to ensure cost-efficiency.
  • •  Support in developing proposals, grant applications, and donor reports.

 

6. Business Development

  • •  Identify opportunities for new partnerships and funding in alignment with MASH’s strategic priorities.
  • •  Lead the development of concept notes and decks for potential funders and partners.
  • •  Explore and co-create program models that are scalable and sustainable.

 

7. Research & Learning

  • •  Stay updated with ecosystem trends and best practices across social impact domains.
  • •  Conduct primary and secondary research to inform program strategy and innovation.
  • •  Facilitate learning and development opportunities for the internal team.

Requirements

  • •  Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Development Studies, Public Policy, Social Work, or a related field.
  • •  4–6 years of experience in program management, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • •  Experience in managing teams, stakeholders, and partnerships.
  • •  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under pressure.
  • •  Experience in proposal writing, donor communication, and reporting is preferred.
  • •  Passion for youth-led change and cross-sectoral development work.
