Senior Associate, Motion Designer/Video Editor

MASH impact is seeking a passionate senior associate, motion designer/video editor to support our communications team and help us amplify our impact.

Responsibilities

Develop engaging motion content

Creating eye-catching motion graphics and videos for various media channels, including social media, websites, etc.

Video editing and animation

Edit video content with precision, adding animations, text overlays, transitions, sound effects and stock music to enhance the narrative.

Conceptualization to delivery

Participate in the creative process from brainstorming and storyboarding to the final cut, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and high standards of quality.

Video Production Management

Oversee coordination of event recordings and manage the production of post-event video content.

Collaborate with the creative team

Work closely with the entire creative team on multiple projects to ensure cohesive storytelling and visual consistency across clients.

Adapt to design trends and techniques

Stay updated on video production trends, motion graphics software, and best practices to continuously refine technical and creative skills.

Manage project timelines and priorities

Organise multiple projects, adjust to shifting priorities, and maintain deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

2-5 years of experience in motion graphics or video editing, with a portfolio showcasing strong fundamentals video design work (static work is a plus)
Proficiency in adobe creative suite (premiere pro, after effects, illustrator, etc. )
Basic understanding of typography, colour theory, layout, and visual design principles.
Strong attention to detail, with a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative setting.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to discuss ideas and incorporate feedback efficiently.
Knowledge of communication design principles and an interest in sustainable development goals (SDGs) is a plus.
